So Torchwood is over. I have two new ships to play with, or I would do if I could actually think of a decent plot. I have to say it's been nice to have a fandom I can squee over on a weekly basis - yes, it's no Angel, but it's fun and I've missed being an active fangirl. That said, I feel a little guilty because whilst at the moment Jack/Ianto and Ianto/Owen are THE pairings of my fannish world (barring the default Angel/Wes, obviously) I just know that come the new series of Doctor Who I will be one of the first to fall hard for Jack/Ten the moment ep 11 airs. Ah for the days of fandom monogomy.

On the Franz front, well they're still taking time off. But thank heavens, just as TW comes to a close, Bob and Paul have suddenly decided to take over the running of the Franz Myspace account. Cue lots of new blogs and pics. It was comforting to know - from my reaction of a bearded Bob doing his usual camero ho impression - that absence has just made the heart grown fonder when it comes to these guys.

All that said, I would just like to reassure the FL that, yes, Wesley Wyndam-Pryce is still number one woobie in my heart. Ten, Ianto, Jack et al may all be very dear to me, but Wes is still the definition of a fannish crush *smishes him*

It took me a loooooong time (since I fell for New Who and Jack/Ten) to feel like I wasn't cheating on my first Fandom. And while I too heart J/I and I/O (and indeed J/O) like a giant hearty thing, I can safely say that I will be joining you in the total love of Jack/Ten!

I'm hoping that the writers will find a way to write the new Who so I don't wind up with conflicting ships. Poor Ianto needs his hugs *nods* That said, I am all for happy Ten/Jack flirting, just so long as Jack remembers that he has his dsyfunctional TW family waiting for him and chooses to go back to them.

Indeed, we shall be shallow and fickle together, whee! =)

It gives me such a nice warm fuzzy feeling that once upon a time, Jack and Wesley - well Barrowman and Denisof anyway - were completely starkers and wrapped around each other onstage. Yes, sadly I wasn't there (being only 12 at the time) but still, it renews my faith in the universe somehow ;)

And use that icon any time you like. That moment was one of the hottest moments I've seen onscreen recently, both with and without clothes *sigh*

My ideal scenario is that Jack, after happy flirty memory-finding adventures with Ten, will return to hug Ianto, and Ten will go on and somehow on route rescue a pilot stuck in a burning plane above Cardiff Bay and thus pick up a new companion to help save the world :)

And how does one know that one has truly lost it and fallen hard into fandom nerdom? When one has downloaded 'A Nighting Sang in Berkley Square' and whenever it plays has to fight the urge to go: "Jack. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" *sniffle*

Jack/Ianto is love. You can fiddle the pairing to fit whatever mood you're in, it's great. Though, oh yes, I am so looking forward to see how Ten and Jack get on *bounce*
