Okay, yes, fine, I admit it. This show is truly awful. The writing is atrocious - some of the lines the actors have to say are painful. Yes, it is cheesy, it is OTT, it is silly beyond words, at times the kindest thing to say about the acting is 'inconsistant'. And yes, I still love it to pieces *huggles show*

Yet again the family watched the ep with me, and yet again they insisted on talking through vast swathes of it. Grrr.

Erm, the bodies? EW. The cannibals themselves were creepy, and I recognise that key guy from somewhere. Anyway, he was good, the way his eyes went all psycho while he was trying to choke Tosh *shivers*

Ianto. *sigh* Oh bless but could that lad be any more incompetant. Even when he does try to attack, it always seems to go wrong. Poro lamb. Though, loved him so much when he did that smile-then-headbutt action to allow Tosh to escape. He seems to have landed the Wesley-esque role of getting battered around a bit should plot require at least some of the team to get a bit roughed up.

Owen/Gwen? Eh. Whatever. I'm interested in that I'm interested to see how it'll pan out with Rhys, and also I do like the actor who plays Owen so hopefully this plotline will give him something to get his teeth into soon.

Tosh... oooh... Loved how she took charge, not denying that maybe she does get a slight kick out of the whole life/death situations. Also, oh but she was bitter when she realised Gwen had 'stolen' Owen from her.

Jack/Ianto continues to progress nicely. In my mind, Jack was being a gentleman by avoiding the question regarding his last kiss. He would never drop Ianto in it like that, unlike Owen with Gwen. And then Ianto still a bit bitter, ignoring Jack and naming Lisa, because Lisa was the one that mattered to him. I have no doubt that I was not the only one happy by 'The Look' the two men shared at the end of that scene.

The final scene where Jack saves them all with a tractor and a coatful of guns. OMG. So cheesy - the slo-mo, the music, the gratuitous shots of falling shells. Pure Jack, heh. And again, in my mind because he was particularly peeved at the head cannibal, because he barged in said head cannibal was about to slice through one very bloodied and bruised Ianto's jugular with a cleaver. I have no doubt that Jack tended to Ianto most efficiently once it was all over *nods* :)

In conclusion. Battered, bruised and frightened Ianto is a pretty sight. I love him despite his wussiness, and in fact I think there is a backbone in there somewhere. (OMG his smile before the headbutt). Jack/Ianto continues to sail strong, huzzah!
