I can't honestly give this a particularly fair review, or even a general impression, as the family relocated to the TV room halfway through and had loud conversations over large chunks of quite important dialogue.

I did get to at least watch the preview for next week undisturbed. So we finally get Ianto out of that suit. Excellent. Maybe he'll even have a touch of scruff before the end of their trip to Cottage of Doom in Back Of Beyond *rubs hands*

Hmm, well my general reactions to this week's ep:

1) Heh, gratuitous half-naked Jack shot. Watch how they attempt to make it 'deep' and 'meaningful' by use of angsty flashbacks. Not that I'm complaining :)

2) Ianto! In his suit, wandering around the hub at odd hours. Oh my still broken-hearted Welsh w00bie *smishes him*

3) Ianto/Jack could most definitely be back on the cards. Although this is also tied in with...

4) WTF? This guy betrayed you all last week, almost got everyone killed, punched the boss and called him a monster. And yet there you all are, exchanging snark with him like nothing happened. I wasn't expecting a huge barney or anything, but, well, at least a bit of tension between say Ianto and Owen. *sigh*

5) Awww! Jack had a sweetheart. I missed most of the background because the spawn talked over her scenes. But I liked her and the idea that Jack has been in love with someone before the Doctor and Rose.

6) Nasty creepy fairies. I like them.

7) Scene with the paedophile and the policeman was very nicely done, the look on the officer's face at the words 'It's little girls... their little smiles.' *shiver*

8) Family completely ruined the last face-off with the fairies by talking over it, so I missed most of what was going on. But I did get that Jack let the girl go, and the rest of the world wasn't very happy with him.

9) Oooh, Jack getting the cold shoulder from the rest of the team. I would say it'll be fun to see how things are by next week, but from the looks of it continuity is not a necessity with this fandom.
