Shallow ponderings
Nov. 12th, 2006 09:00 pmSo I'm bored and enjoying an hour or so's access to a fast, working home PC. Given the choice of watching one of the past three SN eps (fell behind when our 'puter died) or re-watching Torchwood's Cyberwoman, I went with Torchwood. Purely because I am shallow and Jack and Ianto please me.
Actually, it seemed slightly less histrionic second time around. Poor Ianto. And I did like the little throwaway line at the beginning when he's ordering the pizzas: '... and a pot of coleslaw. My boss says I'm not eating enough vegetables.'
See, Jack does care for him really. *smishes her boys*

Could be spoilery if you haven't seen tonight's torchwood

That's from my first ever Wesfic. *dances with glee*
Fairies. Wes fic quotes. *g* Jack/Ianto shoulder touching. Jack and the single shining Dean emo-tear. I do love my single shining emo-tear.
*hugs you*

Date: 2006-11-13 12:07 am (UTC)My main gripe is a similar one I have with SN: no continuity. Considering what Ianto had done to the team, it was odd to have it so back to normal. Honestly, you get more background from the chat transripts on the website than you do the actual show. Though to be fair, the early scene between Jack and Ianto was a tad terse, but I'll freely admit I'm baised when it comes to those two :)

Date: 2006-11-13 01:06 am (UTC)The dialogue sometimes makes me want to poke chewing gum in my ears. Which would be an odd thing to do. I keep waiting for the Torchwood LOVE to strike - but so far nothing. It's alright, I don't hate it. Maybe there'll be an ep like SPN Shadow, and then I'll be hooked. *g*
See, I loved AtS from the very first show. *sighs* But I remember how much I disliked SPN at the start, so I'll persevere. Torchwood may yet suck me in.

Next week's ep could be fun, looks like they're relocating to an old stone cottage in the back of beyond. and they're taking Ianto with them. He may actually NOT be wearing a suit *gasp*
I think Jack/Ianto has somehow become an attempted substitute for Wes/Angel, something about the dynamic. Quite possibly they are why I'm cutting this show so much slack :)
