Farewell weekend

Urgh. Three hour drive back from grandparents, loads of traffic, barely broke past 60 mph the whole way, including on the motorway. Feh.

Torchwood. Only caught the last 20 minutes as we were distracted by the very good if very depressing 'Mysterious Creatures'. Have to admit it looked truly awful, Owen rescuing what he could of the ep because the actor does rock like a very rocky thing. And of course an appearance by Ianto will always leave me happy.

On the plus side, have just spent a lovely lovely weekend with the grandparents. Got thoroughly well fed, had lunch near an unexploded mine at Weymouth Harbour, and inhaled enough secondary cigarette/pipe smoke to fell an ox. Good days =)

Re Torchwood. Agreed. I'm so disappointed. I actually feel asleep in the middle section it was so uninvolving. Or maybe I'm just middle-aged. Ianto seems to have criminally little screen time. And Jack's speech at the end. Poor JB, having to spout such crap.

Glad you had a goodly time at the Grnadparents. Glad you didn't get exploded, or suffer terribly from secondary smoking.

Well every series has its dud ep (Yes 'She' of AtS I'm looking at you), so I suppose it's to be expected. As long as it's not a permanent trend I can live with it. Though, urgh, that speech at the end was terrible, I was cringing in my seat, LOL!

At least the trailer for next week looked more lively, though it also looked suspiciously like Jack was pointing a gun at Ianto and now I'm very curious as to why...
