No spoilers, just a general reaction.

Is it perfect? Nah, course not. But it's pretty darn good. And it has Captain Jack Harkness. It entertains, and has a cast I was seriously warming to by the end of the first ep. With a few killer references to Doctor Who. Good stuff. Definitely tuning in next week.

As vaguely as I can phrase this to avoid spoilers: how interesting was it to find that out about Jack after what happened at the end of the first series of DW?

Oh yes, the soundtrack rocked :) If it goes on like this, should someone ever set up a com where the songs of each ep are shared, I am most definitely signing up!

OOOOH YES! It was a case of 'OMG', such a cool moment. Do you think it tied in with the erm, glowing thing towards the end of the second? In any case, oh, I loved the references. Looking forward to next week!

Exactly! Rather like the Doctor in the CHristmas ep had a bit still of residue. Oh Jack, I am so so interested in finding out exactly what's happened since we last saw you.

I'm also hoping he hooks up with the secretary dude, but details details... ;)

Awww. I'm sure if nothing else the eps will be put up somewhere for folks to watch. My personal opinion is that it's fun and humourous and has a sexy cast; it should travel well :)

I liked it. Hubby turned to me at one point during the second ep and said - "Seriously, pet, this is crap, right?" but I held firm. That was the bit where Gwen was giving the gas alien the come-to-me line. It's cheesy, yep, but I like it.

I LIKE Jack begin a fanboy over the doctor's hand. And telling the sex-alien girl it wasn't important to anyone but him. Oh, Jack. Don't TELL her that. Don't give her ammunition.

He can't die (but clearly would like to) - Oh, Jack, how I love thy angst.

It was fun, and being unspoiled the Susie reveal did actually shock me. I like Gwen very much. I also like Ianto. He clearly fancies Jack something rotten. The snarky doctor boy is a bit of an arsehole, but I like him to. The computer girlie is fine, no big feelings about her yet.

All in all, a fun night in, with Jack looking impossibly sexy in this braces. Damn, man, you so carry the historical uniform costume off with aplomb. *sigh*

It's fun and glossy, a bit like the brit version of SPN, just with a more fun cast and writing :)

Yeah, it's cheesy, but it's still highly enjoyable. I do have to say, I love Gwen's boyfriend, and I love how their relationship is portrayed in the series. *raises glass to them* Nice to see he's not some stereotypical adonis, simply a good sweet man *smishes him*.

Oh Jack... Yes, the understated trauma of what happened. I too was unspoiled, which made for much fun.

And yes - Ianto is the secretary-esque lad in glasses? Oh, if things keep on going that way, I have a feelign I'm going to be rooting seriously for him and Jack. It's the glasses. And the suit. The politeness. And Jack with that overcoat... *mind races off*

Ah well, I think the good ship Jack/Ianto ship just set sail for Cardiff. Do you think maybe Ianto has daddy issues...?

And yes, so far, the Jack/Ianto ship is making good progress. Heh, if they add on Daddy issues I'll start packaging up my soul now ;)
