I was going to do a simple post saying 'Just to let you know I'm alive.' In other words a post with no point to it whatsoever.

Then, urgh. With regards to Arctic Monkeys winning The Mercury *raspberry* Whatever.

Special mention goes to Radio 4 and their arts correspondent who reported the news and the interview with Hunter afterwards: '... proved that the rock n'roll sullen silence can sometimes be a good thing.' *snerk*

I imagine you are up to your eyes in projecty type stuff. I booked my flight - YAY - I'll be flying in on the Friday night - so two nights of giggling girlies! Plus AD. We'll be all squeeed out by Sunday.

The project is INSANE at the moment. It's due 2nd October, and the exam re-set is the 18th, so October in general is going to be insane. But I think I'm making progress so I don't mind too much feeling like my brain has just been thwacked against a wall and then drizzled with lemon juice.

Arctic Monkeys can go back to MySpace Hell for all I care. I don't particularly like them, I don't think they're anything special and I don't see why they have to win every single award thrown their way. I just don't get it!

I've become a bit of a pretentious so-and-so when it comes to music, and I just don't have time for arrogance and egos. And my first ecounter with the Monkeys was hearing how they were rather cold and snootish with my pal's band who were supporting them. Maybe in a few years when they've matured I'll give them a second go, but for now - pfffft.

And hey you! *hugs* Likewise, good to hear you still bouncing around the Southern edge of this fair country =)
