Exams. Ick. Still, two down, two to go. Took last night off, me and the housemate settled down with a bag of Minstrels, bottle of wine, and the DVD of Mrs Henderson Presents.

Which is a fantastic film and one I highly recommend to everyone - Judi Dench and Bob Hoskins were perfect, their scenes were a plain joy to watch. And Will Young was frankly born in the wrong era, he should have been around at the time of the music hall, his role was spot on.

And as usual, Alex's weekly soundbite is up at The Guardian. Only a guy would think that sticking your finger into a cup of, what I'm assuming is, week-old root beer dregs and licking it is a good idea. Ew.

I've been thinking of you this week - hope they aren't too horrific. I keep poking my reports and hoping they'll write themselves. *g*

Speak to you soon!

Ah, memories.

You're in Oxford, correct? Or is my age-impaired brain mergin my flist into one big abstract painting again?

The reason I ask is that a friend/neighbour of mine used to go to Brooks while her husband was writing his DPhil at Oxford. Exam time at their flat was absolutely hilarious. Her test anxiety was so high, he hid in the library for two weeks. She always did fine, although I swear she wrote her academic obit every semester.

You just reminded me to put that DVD on the rental list. I missed it when it was in cinemas here.

I used to be as well, but I moved a long way south. ;)

God bless StuVac here (only a week although it used to be two) because I can ignore stressed out students.
