The parents were in the room and talking loudly during the final scene so I missed the details, but I did pick up that Queen Victoria was the one to set up the institution. Was it specifically to guard against the return of the Doctor, or was it a more general safeguard against other-worlders?

In any case... ooooh...

Also not entirely sure I got what was going on with the British monarchy and the werewolf thing - again thank the parents talking throughout the final five minutes *pouts*

I know! I love how Torchwood is looking like it's not going to be something supporting the Doctor. In this ep it was because they didn't like him, and in the Christmas ep they shot the aliens in the back and made him absolutely furious :)

There was much squeeing to be heard in our house. I had to record it - church thing this evening, and K watched it with me. I was squealing "Captain Jack against the Doctor", and then I overdosed on ASH and Sarah-Jane and K-9.

I think it's more of a safeguard against general other worldly threats. She just counts the Doctor as one of those threats.

The werewolf monarcy thing - something to do with a blood disease in the monarchy. It wasn't really that funny, though the writers clearly believed it was. To me it was the only downside to a wonderful ep.

Saw an ep of Veronica Mars today - Logan owns my heart. This show rocks.

Veronica Mars is so so good, I've seen I htink the first 8 or so eps, and they've yet to have a duff one. That is good writing =)

And yes! The Doctor and Torchwood do not seem to be having hte most friendly history at the moment. Just think how the Doctor will react when he finds Jack is working with the kind of people who shoot retreating aliens in the back *poings* Or maybe Jack will defect back to the Doctor's camp, in which case even more angst *is hopeful*

Oh yes, I think I shouted out 'No way!' when I realised what Queen Victoria had just done - I got very odd looks off my family and the dinner guests that were just that minutes being shown in, LOL!
