Reasons the world is a more shiny place this evening:

Went to see TransAmerica. *eyes spelling* Very very very good film, I recommend it highly. Great sense of humour, lovely acting all round, and some wonderful lines. I can't remember how many Oscar nominations it got, but it deserved every one of them :)

Franz continue to tour in the states. How they get the energy baffles me, I'd be knackered by now. But hey, effectively I guess you're being paid to do a road trip with four of your mates.

There's going to be a new series of Sharpe. *poing* Sean Bean back in a uniform. Or so I've been told, I'm very happy about this so wait until tomorrow if you know anything to the contrary :)

It's definitely true about the Sharpe. It's set/was filmed in India.

It won't be the same without his two pals who used to sing Over The Hill, but hey, it should still be good *crosses fingers and toes*

I agree. I wonder if Harper will be in it? It's hard to imagine Sharpe without Harper.

Don't they? *wibbles* I love Sharpe, but... they killed off quite a few of his old crew in that last ep, but they cannot take Harper from us too, noooo, t'wud be too cruel!

Harper's in it. I checked on the Official Sharpe Fan Club website where there are pictures from the filming in India and a complete cast list (they have the same chap playing Wellington and evil Colonel Simmerson too).

Have seen a trailer now, with Sharpe telling some gorgeous Indian princess, No woman tells me what to do - and there's me thinking, Oh, yes? What about Teresa and Jane and all those others then, huh?

I saw the trailer, although the sound was muted at the time. I bounced up and down and make a squeaky noise. I am officially excited and READY FOR IT TO START ALREADY *eyes TV* :)

There was an article in the Radio Times about it today. Our Sean's very own filming diary (apparently, the wig he had to wear for some flashback scenes wasn't as itchy as the wig he had for LotR).

What is it with flashbacks and wigs... *ponders* ;)

I've already mentally marked out the prime position on the sofa. It'll be a rather nostalgic evening, I think - Sharpe was there before BtVS and AtS, I remember how every female friend would watch it on ITV and then drool about it the following day. *nods* Happy times :)

Watching Sharpe was very much a solitary pleasure for me so I don't know whether to just record it and watch it when I'm on my own.

I used to mainly watch it on my own, and then afterwards hit the telephones and squee about it with my friend, LOL!

At the moment I'm planning to stick with that template, although I may add a glass of wine :)

Oh I cannot wait! *poing* Sharpe was there before Buffy or ANgel. It was the night of TV holy obligation - you sat and you hummed along to the tunes and cheered when they won against all odds. Hopefully this new stuff will continue this good trend =)
