Secondly, is anyone interested in going to the Starfury Quor'toth convention, 24 - 26th June?
Basically there are three (or four) tickets going.
Starfury Conventions: QUOR'TOTH
24-26 June 2005.
Guests: Amy Acker (Fred/Illyria), Andy Hallett (Lorne), Laurel Holloman (Justine), Sarah Thompson (Eve), Jenny Mollen (Nina), Dennis Christopher (Cyvus Vail), Stacey Travis (Sen. Brucker), Vladamir Kulich (the Beast) and Dayne Johnson. With Clare Kramer as MC.
With Hallet in the house, the parties seriously kick ass, and guests often swing by to look bemused. He'll get everyone singing. Thompson and Mollen are just wonderfully sweet. Last time, Caritas, was their first convention, and they realised that they had been to the same school and their best friends had dated each other... yet they had never met until arriving in London. Two very lovely ladies. Mollen of course putting herself in my good books by saying AD was 'just an incredible actor'. Dayne Johnson has never failed to be excellent entertainment, with a wonderfully dry humour. I haven't seen the other guests, though, I have to admit, the idea of meeting the guy who played the person who killed my Wesley... *sniffle*
One of the highlights of a Starfury convention is, of course, the photoshoot. In the past they've had Hallet in full Lorne makeup, I had a photo with a tatoo adorned Kane. This year, the rumour says, the special photoshoot will be with Amy Acker in full Illyria costume...
The way it works, you queue. Ticket numbers are called in batches, and up you go, either for photos/autographs.
Ticket Numbers 88 - 90 are up for sale on eBay.co.uk. There're three going as a single batch, and yes, not at the full price, though if you want individual ones, speak to eitherprincess_s or esmerelda_t and there may be something going :)
Price includes, of course, entry to the talks, the parties, and an autograph from (assuming there's time) every guest. Photoshoots will cost you extra.
And because I am a sheep, and even though I can't remember watching any series other than the current one...
