Hands up who hates Mondays
Mar. 8th, 2004 11:51 pmSee, normally Mondays are in fact okay. Normally I enjoy the fact I have no lectures and catch up on what I need to.
But not this Monday.
No, this Monday I spend the whole day trying to tweak a formula so it didn't kill Excel every time I tried to run it. Finally succeeded in getting an answer about half an hour ago... Which just leaves the remaining *three* questions to do for tomorrow.
Aaaand, to top it all off. I'm beginning to suspect I might, possibly, only possibly, be going down with a slight cold. Nose unhappy. Eyes achy. Concentration shot to blazes. *sigh*
So, thank heavens for writers like
eatenbyweasels. If you don't mind slash, and if you have a sense of humour, do head over and have a peek at the fic. 'Mistaken Identity' is a real giggle, wonderful Lord John voice. (That'll make sense if you've watched Sharpe.) The other one, 'Rearshot', is the funniest thing I've read in ages! It's smut, but with a lovely twist at the very very end that makes the title make even more sense than before. **giggle**
And finally, assuming codes and such work, I present: LB - South Park style

Date: 2004-03-08 04:15 pm (UTC)Tried it myself, and ended up with a pink girlie character (also with halo!) and additional lollipop. The codes, however, defeated me. Hubby wandered in while I was doing it and said - 'Thought you were supposed to be writing that follow-up story for LB' - so I thought I'd better get back to it.
Willa has asked for Angel/Wes cosy over coffee - so my mind is going off in a hundred tangents. S1 Wes falling on the coffee beans, S5 Wes in Angel's apartment set after 'Unleashed' and The Look.. Have you any other Plot Ferrets you want to suggest - I'm very open to suggestions.
And nurse that cold, honey. Hot Ribena, or hot port if you prefer. I highly recommend Benylin4Flu capsules - I popped these during our 3-day Ofsted Inspection with a temperature of 102, and managed to keep 28 kids not only under control, but actually interested. Course I totally collapsed after this, but I swear, those capsules were wonderful.
Look after yourself!

Date: 2004-03-08 05:43 pm (UTC)If you wanted to be sweet and cozy though, well, didn't Willa do that lovely little drabble a while back all about Wes thinking on Angel whilst brewing tea just so, how it was all about patience and waiting? Possibly you could try writing something about the beginning of the end of the wait?
And *LOL* at 'The Look'! Even my friend, who used to resolutely deny that there was anything even remotely subtexty in AtS, had to admit to seeing oodles of slashy undertones to that moment.

Date: 2004-03-08 05:49 pm (UTC)Yep, not only is she superbeta girl, but she is now Inspiration girl. and the funny thing is, that drabble was written for me! God it's perfect.. you're wonderful... going to scribble little ideas on a notebook in bed tonight.
Oh, go check out Willa's wonderful ficlet thing now at her LJ - it's gorgeous!

Date: 2004-03-08 06:04 pm (UTC)The lower lip thing is just me imagining how much Con misses his Uncle - tearing up now as I write this. But not traumatic missage - just gentle realization and love...

Date: 2004-03-08 06:24 pm (UTC)Thanks, both of you, for your wonderful inspiration. And once again I apologize for *ahem* being horrid to Wes.

Date: 2004-03-08 06:29 pm (UTC)*bangs forehead on desk with muffled moan* What have I done?
*wails* I seem to have created a culture of 'It's okay to kill off Wesley' - I am a bad fanfic writer and should be spanked... by Wes...mmm
