Mixed bag today
Oct. 26th, 2004 11:56 pmBig shock to hear about John Peel. Damn. I really can't imagine radio without him, he was just so recognisable and just there all the time... *sigh*
Can't quite see 'Home Truths' working without him.
On a far more shallow note, my day was brightened not a little by pretty pics from Whendonesque of the High Stakes party. (Link from
flaming_muse, hope it's okay to post here too.) In particular, these pics here and here make me consider the possibilities of yet another slashy Whedonverse pairing...
And as
thebratqueen says, It's Not Real, but, still. It be very easy on the eye :)
ETA: Why I still think Knox can't be all that bad. This picture post from 'Angel's Soul Board' is just hilarious. A poster went to a convention. And took along a doll of Spike and a voodoo doll of Gunn. The results were wonderful :)

Date: 2004-10-27 01:36 pm (UTC)I really love Firefly and you really should check it out.
And I'm sorry for still not having read your fic. I only heard good things about it, but I just can't find the time or motivation to read something at the moment. But you are almost on top of my things to read list.

Date: 2004-10-27 04:13 pm (UTC)But yes I do have to agree there are some interesting possibilities!!!
I finally read all of Pet, it wasn't as harsh as I was expecting, but I do now have funny imagery in my head.
I also started reading Protocol, you're right this has much more to it and hence can go weirder and wackier places!
About Friday I don't know what time to turn up? 3ish or before? Or later? Maybe they register everyone first and then say ok? What to do? Woe is me?! (is that the right spelling?)
I'll call you tomorrow.

Date: 2004-10-27 05:11 pm (UTC)I'm not sure what to do. I have to work until 1.30, so will probably get there about 4ish. Donna will be there later. I suppose you could try turning up at 3, see if anyone's selling them on the sly, but I don't know how likely that is, I'm afraid. *huggles*
And yes. Protocol is of the lovely. Fluffy and hot and sweet and angsty... *sigh*
