Agents of SHIELD
Mar. 13th, 2014 02:32 pmAh, so this latest week was the ep with guest star the Lady Sif. And yes, it was glorious :)
I will admit I wasn't overly impressed with the villain of the week, although she came into her own during the final showdown; she was very good at making you almost feel sorry for her in that she would rather die than be forced to be stuck for another 600 years in silence. Then again, I wonder. This is, of course, one of the benefits of knowing the show is set in the same time-line as the other Marvel films. We've already had our official post-Thor 2 ep, and then we get this extra tidbit...
"Odin's orders..."
Oh really. I may have squeaked a bit. I don't think they'd seriously try to set something up here, just because I don't think they even have a concrete idea yet about what Thor 3 will be about. But! I do like the hint that maybe something is going on upstairs. Even if it's just Loki making sure that potential future allies are kept on ice rather than wiped out entirely. An unexpected early Easter egg then :)
Plus, I do like the acknowledgement that at some point Thor will be given the heads-up, it will be a weight off his mind.
Romance-wise: I will admit I'm a little disappointed that they're apparently going for the Ward/Skye angle. I rather enjoyed the sibling relationship they had going. Then again, who knows, it's relatively early days, maybe we'll come back to that in the long run.
