Ah, the joys of boredom and lack of sleep

lonelybritSo, first off I decided to bite the bullet and so my copy of Rip It Off/Beyond City Limits is apparently on its way. I think I'm going to need to be very drunk when I watch that film... LOL :)
Secondly, my mind decided to ramble and stumbled upon a drabble. Very short little post-Not Fade Away piece, also posted over at![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)

I sat at my desk, trying oh so hard to ignore the way he smiled down at me. The way his eyes danced with ice-cold humour. The way his smile twisted and curved into an expression so cruel that for a moment I could almost forget who he used to be.
“Come now, Angel. Do try and get a grip. As the last surviving member of the Black Thorn, it’s all up to you.”
I ignored him, staring hard at the papers stacked in front of me.
“If anything, you’re in a more powerful position than before. The Senior Partners most certainly can’t afford to lose you now, can they?” He turned away, moving towards the windows and I heard him give a low laugh.
“I’m sorry, Wesley.”
“For what?” He shot me a bemused look. “Is this not victory? You control Wolfram and Hart, as much as anyone can that is. And yes, the butcher’s bill was rather steep. But they’re all at peace. Even Gunn, and I think the price, the exchange, was a fair one. Don’t you?” The smile which had faded began to reappear.
I stared back into those soulless eyes and didn’t say a word.
