The last 2 weeks have been slightly rubbish to say the least on the work front. A quick lesson though; when talking to Medical Physicists be aware that use of the word 'Contaminated' will cause mild heart attacks. That said we were relieved to realise that it just meant that the water cascading through our office ceiling was maybe contaminated with only normal human fluids, not radioactive human fluids.

The fact that this was considered 'good news' gives you some idea of the kind of fortnight we've had. But! Enough on that.

On TV I'm continuing to be utterly smitten with The Hour. Next week looks like it's the last ep and I am full of woe over this; my Tuesday's will be sadder without their usual dose of Dominic West and Ben Whishaw's characters fabulous love hate-hate snark.

I've also been to the local flea pit a few times. Horrible Bosses was entertaining as all the bosses were tremendous fun, although I'm glad we got in on discounted prices (thank you, Orange Wednesdays) as when the film was good it was down to the calibre of the cast rather than direction/writing. Rise of the Planet of the Apes? Was awesome. I think me and the workmates were the only ones who got the nods to the original film, but we all left feeling it was money very well spent. Tom Felton also clearly had a blast and it was fun to see him post-HP.

Vids also cheered me, have some recs for Supernatural and Merlin (with SPOILERS for the new series in both cases).

Merlin: someone has done S4 credits in the style of Game of Thrones, yet again it feels suitably epic.

Supernatural: An official trailer for S7. I may have pinged off the ceiling a little when I first saw this one :)

Oh that tagline: 'Kiss your Cass goodbye.'

Well well well. Cas certainly isn't looking his healthiest is he? I can't tell if it's the souls starting to destroy his vessel (rather like how Lucifer was too much for his first human container), or if it's maybe a bit like Sam being in his subconscious and we're seeing Cas stuck inside his own mind. Ponderings ponderings!

SPN is doing a right number on me at the moment. On the one hand I am really really looking forward to the first 2 eps, since we've been told Cas will be in them. The problem is that we're also fairly sure that will be the last we'll see of Cas for quite some time (it looks like it's back to 2 brothers taking on the world, with Sam's 'wall' issues stage centre). Which probably means I'll do what I always do: get bored and stop watching until someone taps on the shoulder in time for the finale.

Oh Cas. You draw me back into this show and then you abandon me. Fickle, feathery angel that you are.

Ending on some sugary fluff. Do take a peek at the pics the Merlin cast did to help raise money for a charity bike ride by one of the camera crew's relations. Also Misha showcasing his son's immaculate table manners (and looking like any true parent should, i.e. truly knackered) is a joy to behold.
