If you get the chance to go see Milk, do take it. True story, beautifully acted (all hail Penn), and considering it makes no bones about how it ends it is oddly not depressing but rather uplifting and most certainly inspirational. Whatever your flaws and personal demons, it's never too late to make a difference.

There's also a nice little interview over here with James Franco, as he says, I'm rather shocked that I had not heard of Harvey Milk before this film, but I'm glad I do know now.

I agree. I saw this one yesterday, and I was shocked to be so moved by the end of the film, despite knowing how it ended since the beginning. I loved Sean Penn's performance. LOVED IT.

I am looking forward to seeing the film, as I have read so much about it. The reviews have been extremely positive. I love Gus Van Sant's work. It is a story well deserving of a large audience.
