Just another 'fanwank' thingy...

Ahem. Anyway, it isn't mine. This came from ck over at ASSB. So far we've had bots and the A-Team and various other things to try and alter how things went after the finale. Here's yet another one!

Which would be one way of getting Wes back. Although if that were put into a fic, I think it would end up being an angsty one. If Wes is dead dead, as in at peace, I doubt he'll be over the moon to be suddenly yanked back down to Earth. However, if he's in a holding cell of Hell due to a pesky perpetuity clause, then the reunion might be a little more cheerful...

"Lilah said The Senior [Partners] will give the L.A terrority to Angel and they can do anything they want with the W&H resources.
Angel told Lilah he accepts the deal if it includes Connor.
Eve told A.I that they can kill all the W&H client and set the place on fire, the Evil will just go next door, or something like that.
So, did Angel break the deal when he destroyed the Circle of Black Thorn?
I mean, Angel killed the people he wanted to kill in L.A, plus Connor remembers his past, which means W&H didn't hold up to their end of the deal.
If Angel takes the Senior Partners to court, instead of fighting the 30000 demons, Angel has a good case. Imagine Angel, Wolf Ram and Hart appear in Judge Judy's show.
Angel makes his case by summoning witnesses like Dead Lilah and Eve. And tells Judge Judy that he accepted the deal from W&H in good faith and he only excise his rights that were agreed upon. Killing W&H's evil clients, like the Black Thorn, is well within his rights and that L.A belongs to Angel and associates when Wolf Ram and Hart gave to A.I.
And Angel is the injury parties because his son remembers his former life, and the W&H promised it wouldn't happen.
I mean, if Wolf Ram and Hart wanted to play lawyer, then Angel should use the law against them.
And since Angel didn't break the deal, Angel and friends are entitled to compensation for their physical and emotional damage."

Date: 2004-05-23 05:11 pm (UTC)Yep. That's where our boy is. Doyle's there too, and he's got a measure of Lagavulin waiting for Wes. And they'll all sit down in the tavern in the sky, and toast the heroes on earth and in heaven.
If Wes is in heaven, I want to imagine him like this. Happy at last. However, if he's in the pesky holding dimension (denial denial and thrice denial) then get him out of there!
And further to the Wesbot idea - I was considering the mindwipe problem. And this suggested itself. Wes goes off to research cyborgs after Lineage. Thinks to himself - "how did they make the cyborg so like my father"
Wes experiments with putting his own memories into the cyborg, and during his experiments, finds the buried/erased memories. Stung by Angel's disregard for his free will, he decides to send cyborg Wes back.
When Wes finally understands why Angel played with their memories (to give Connor a better life) Wes forgives him and decides to return to LA. Just in time for the final battle?
I do hope

Date: 2004-05-23 05:24 pm (UTC)Heh, there was another, slightly less profound, Wesbot suggestion over at ASSB too today. (From toothy.)
1) Fred kept the remains of Rogerbot. Decided to use them to make herself a Wesbot. (Because, hey, who wouldn't want one of those?)
2) After Fred's death, Wesley found the bot when going through her things. He was a little wigged but kept it because it had her scent on it. (Ew!)
3) Later, realising that cavemen magics were unlikely to help him, Wesley went all astronaught and sacrificed the Weslovebot in the fight against Vail.
4) In the alley, real Wes emerges from the shadows, sword in hand. "Did someone mention an apocalypse?"
There was also another very nice idea from Advocate:
Angel lives as if the world is the way it should be. It has impressed some people so much that they choose to stay with him (e.g. Fred).
Whilst the Black Thorn is being wiped out, Whistler goes around all the people Angel has helped over the years. He explains the situation and suggests they could go help, take a stand. A few (1 out of 5 ish?)do.
Cut to the alley. Heroes are looking tired. Camera pulls back, and now we see the rest of the troops starting to arrive. Gunn's old gang. Bethany. Normal, everyday people.
And it's just enough to tip the scales :)

Date: 2004-05-23 05:37 pm (UTC)Why are you making that infernal noise? You sound like Cordelia that time she read in the papers about a Prada Shoe sale. Dear Lord.

Date: 2004-05-23 05:43 pm (UTC)Hmm, it sounds like this is something of sore point with you then. If it's any consolation, you probably won't have to tell people round here more than once for them to believe it.
Ah. Sorry about 'that infernal noise'. Hayfever and moulting cats have a strange effect on my sinuses.
