princess_s did helpfully inform one Misha Collins at a signing do some years back that he was pretty much the reason I started watching Supernatural again.

To be fair, I remember the exact line that hooked me in: "Dean, back there, that was angel-on-angel violence!" I was midway through cooking pasta while the ep was playing in the next-door room. I blinked, rewound the sentence in my head, then popped my head through the door to go "I'm sorry, what?!"

And that was it, the rest, as they say, is history. I caught-up with some of the early eps of S4, particularly that. entrance. just in time to tune-in for the season finale.

In any case, Tumblr has helpfully festooned itself with variations of "Happy Anniversary, Dean and Cas!" / "5 years ago..." and "18 September 2008".

So here's to you, Castiel, and all the angel-on-angel violence, Team Free Will, profound bonds, prophets and demons that you brought with you. Cheers for that, it's been fun :)
