Now is the month of May...
May. 2nd, 2008 01:20 amI saw the last half hour or so of The Wicker Man a few months ago, and although I'd heard about the ending, I still found it horrible *shudders at memory* So when I saw the posters going up advertising a special Beltain man this Saturday and inviting one and all to come and enjoy the BBQ and standing in his glow etc etc. I thought, nah, couldn't be.
But nope. Driving home today past the field in question and there is a actual real wicker man going up. It's lacking head and tops of shoulders, but when finished it'll easily be taller than a small tree and it's all hallow and surrounded by hills for miles and eep.
I think they want to eat me. *hides*
To take my mind off my imminent disappearance, I watched The Invisibles. Rather underwhelming. It does have a phenomenal cast and they did get what they could from the script, in particular there were some nice comic moments and spot-on timing, but it lacked the punch a first ep should have. Still, it has potential, so I'll give it a few more eps before deciding one way or another :)
