Envious, moi?
Sep. 20th, 2007 01:57 pmOne of the co-workers has just returned from a holiday to Mexico. When he was checking-in at the airport he noticed a group of vaguely familiar looking young men checking-in at the next-door desk. Their luggage was piled high around them and everything was covered in 'KC'. He continued to ponder who they might be as he was ushered to his Economy Class seat, only to discover that the same lads were sitting behind him and on hunch he asked them 'Excuse me, are you the Kaiser Chiefs?'
*sigh* Honestly, these opportunities are wasted on the clueless :) Anyway, they apparently were all very nice and polite if looking rather bored at being stuck on a plane for 13 hours. They said that yes they were, they'd just played a gig the previous night in Mexico, and the co-worker got them to do a personalised set of autographs for his nephew's upcoming birthday.
His description of the band was: 'Well there was one with lots of curly hair. And another who was very tall. And another one who was shorter...' He asked me which one was the lead singer and I discovered it's actually quite hard to describe the guy, though we got there in the end when co-worker exclaimed 'Oh yes! One of them did sign his name Wilson!' *facepalms*
In other news, there was a poll run by the charity Beating Bowel Cancer to find the Rear of the Year. This year the winners were weatherlady Sian Lloyd and one Lee Mead. Have to say, if I can reach 49 and still have a behind like hers, I'll be content with my lot =)
