This fair and sceptred isle
Jul. 15th, 2007 02:18 amIt seems the Brits have been schmoozing with the US press as various BBC shows prepare to be aired over in the land of the free. Steven Moffat earned my undying love for, almost literally, telling the NBC to go f**k off at his press interview (Taxi for Moffat!), and then the interviewer met Barrowman, Barrowman's sister, and Julie Gardner.
Barrowman and the sis are working together to produce John's autobiography. He dictates into an iPod all the tales of his life and she, and I'm sure all siblings will sympathise, not only has to hear it but then puts it into prose. (Apparently she's already gone 'Ewww, I don't want to know' five times.) A gorgeous extract from their interview is:
Reporter: To follow up in your earlier remarks...
John Barrowman: You’re not going to let it go, are you?
Reporter: I’m letting you dig yourself out of the hole –
John Barrowman: No. I quite like being in holes.
Julie Gardner: Oh, my God ...
John’s Sister: That’s number six.
