Wow. Has it only been eight months? Feels like forever. Damn. In any case, after being practically all squee-ed out eight months ago, I swear I came this. close. to managing a brief full-on fangirl flail when I read NME's article on Franz's first gig in eight months. You have no idea how much I hate the lucky folks who got to go along (and yes, [livejournal.com profile] celticblade, I am looking at you *sulks*).

My gut instinct is that I need at least one more month before Franz really come back off hiatus and then I'll be all set to happily obsess over new lyrics/single covers/B-sides/etc to my heart's content. Which actually works out quite well as there's only about a month left til the DW finale, and another five after that until new TW. *wibble*

And after that brief foray away from the TW fold (ALEX! BOB! SQUEEE!) I pass on these links:

Seconding a rec by [livejournal.com profile] cyberducks - Fic: Refrain - gorgeous, bittersweet short Jack/Estelle piece and what second chances really mean.

Someone may have found another TW spoiler. As in actually potentially plot-specific spoilery. AND IT'S TOSH-CENTRIC! *bounce* No idea how legit it is, but it could be great fun and sends the mind interesting places. Full details here.

Just got back from the gym feeling suitably knackered but virtuous. Turned on the news in time to catch the national and local headlines. The local one finshed with some RAF field and me going 'Oooh! The back of that head looks familiar.' Two seconds later and yes, it was indeed John Barrowman looking unfairly wonderful in a modern RAF's pilot's outfit, carrying a similarly attired Connie Fisher. *geeks out*

In other news there is a not unpretty man in our office with with the most fantastic physique. He and two others recently ran up a mountain, cycled over some high pass and canoed a lake, all under 12 hours, for charity. He flirts subtly with all the females, is always very smartly outfitted and drives a very nice car.

Today he complimented my co-worker with 'Oh that's a nice bag, is it new?' As my father says, that surely is not the compliment of a straight man. Typical.
