Why I love Torchwood (Rec)

You know, in all seriousness, and Jack and Ianto aside, sometimes I do wonder just why I am so fond of Torchwood. The number of plotholes and timeline cracks could by now easily sink an ark. And have Torchwood really proven themselves to be in any way exceptionally competant? (How many times now has their 'security' been breached?)

And then crepe_suzettes found the answer. Because Torchwood is Dad's Army. Bloody hilarious, very true, and at least now I can have some reason beyond the show looks good in a suit: 'Who do you think you are kidding Mr ET, if you think that Torchwood's done...'
