I wonder...
Aug. 9th, 2006 03:55 pmI am continuing to ponder my father's rain-making abilities. I've already told you how he caused a draught to end in Ethiopia and the trend of decades to end in Morocco. He is currently swanning around with the rest of the family in South America. They've just been to the jungle - lucky f**kers - where they were eaten alive by mozzies.
In any case, last time he called it was to say that they were about to set off into the Amazon basin. As I put the phone down, the grey clouds gathered. Then last night he called to say that they were back safe and sound. As I put the phone down, the heavens opened.
He's due back in the UK sometime Monday, and if a thunderstorm arrives the same day I shall laugh.
In other news the snails are looking well fed and well watered. I walked in on another orgy last night, and the mound of little white eggs 'hidden' in the corner keeps on growing. *sigh* We have a hedgehog living in our garden, he likes snails, I wonder if the eggs would be the hedgehog equivalent of caviar...
