Ah well

So England are out. To be honest I'm not that surprised, and actually I thought the lads did rather well. When Rooney got sent off I thought they were going to go crashing out, but boy did they keep on fighting right to the bitter end. The name I'll remember from this World Cup will be Crouch - such an oddity to look at, but a great player.

We had a hardened Scot watching the match with us, so that was entertaining. She actually did a dance of joy when Portugal got that final penalty. Bless, we love her anyway :)

And I've just heard that Beckham's resigned as England Captain. Apparently he'd been planning to do so for a while, so it's not totally a falling on his sword reaction, but still, *sigh*
