So there I was returning from a rather dull day at work, brain feeling a little dead and all.

To discover that: Welsh Councillor is calling for new mega shopping complex to be called 'Torchwood'. Apparently he's a self-confessed sci-fi fan, and intends to raise the matter at the next meeting. Bless.

Also, in Franz's latest MySpace post, Alex (a) said he's doing a book reading in Manhatten, and (b) gave out his telephone number in case anyone needed help negotiating the buses there.

Ah fandom. You make me smile *happy sigh*

Am v. suspicious of that myspace post. Surely he wouldn't do that!

Also, I have just finished reading Alex's 'Sound Bites' book. It is SO VERY GOOD. He writes a bit like Nigel Slater, who is my most favourite food writer in the entire world. ♥ Have you got it?

Hehe, yep, you and half of ST was eyeing the post with great suspicion. Turns out it was the number of the bookstore so we can all breathe easy again.

I was going to get that with my Amazon voucher before getting distracted by the shiny Jeeves and Wooster. I read most of his columns in the Guardian, but definitely that book is on my To Buy list - I read an extract and it was wonderful =)
