I must stop doing this...

I have Franz tickets. So unless life manages to complicate things, I should be seeing Bob Hardy, Alex Kapranos, Nick, Andy and maybe Paul or Scott IN THE FLESH *bounce*
I would have squee-ed more fully on LJ but for three reasons.
(1) At the time of buying tickets the sun was up, and anything more tiring than breathing would have killed me.
(2) Once essential shopping was done, I returned to find both TV and internet were down. Not good, Telewest, not good.
(3) By the time the internet/TV were back online, I had been out with friends to visit the former housemate, who misses us. She plied me with Scrumpy whilst we rewatched Pirates of the Carribean. Yet again, the world spinneth in a manner most pleasing to the senses...

Date: 2006-07-25 12:33 am (UTC)Scrumpy is basically a slightly rougher, more potent form of cider. YUM. This one wasn't too bad, but it was a higher percentage of alcohol than I'm used to, so by the end of the second can I was trying to curl up and doze off on the bean bag!

FRANZ. I would just like to point out that I shall not be going down to the barrier, but will be hanging out drinking beer about halfway back as usual. Am rather fond of my limbs.

Date: 2006-07-25 12:38 pm (UTC)I would dearly love to stay afterwards, but again it'll depend on the indulgence of my companions as well as the co-operation of London's public transport, i.e. time of the last tube. How long after shows does it typically take for the lads to emerge?
Though you realise, if I do get to stay, and if I do meet them, there will be NO coherency to my LJ report whatsoever. Just general flailing and odd keyboard mashes, LOL!

Date: 2006-07-25 12:42 pm (UTC)Johnny Depp rules, oh yes. Though to be fair, it was him and Barbossa that made that film, all their scenes together were things of beauty *nods*
LOL! Yes, I remember you saying your days of being crushed within an inch of your life were over. I think on the night it'll depend on how brave I'm feeling. Possibly I will be so overcome with fangirl insanity I will happyily scamper on down to get squashed beyond all recognition, but most likely I will chicken out and wind up clinging to the bar and squee-ing into my rum :)

Date: 2006-07-25 01:02 pm (UTC)Heh, I think I saw your last report, yep. It was coherent up to seeing Bob come out the door and then oddly enough your memory seemed to fail... ;)
