Well that was an interesting weekend. Some of it good, some of it distinctly not; but at least none of it can be described as dull.
Anyway, during the train ride back this afternoon I was smote by a sudden remembrance of when Dale Winton hosted Never Mind The Buzzcocks.
So, I'm probably the last person to realise that Scissor Sisters isn't actually a camp reference to hairdressers, but in fact a lesbian sexual position? *sigh* There is still so much to learn in this world.
Also, where was I when they released their video for Filthy, Gorgeous? You know the one I'm talking about: the one with a butt naked Jake Shears with a baby bottle in his mouth getting spanked by some older dude in suit and tie. This clip was shown to the one of the teams, and I applaud that lady from Coronation Street who was quite rightly shocked and appalled that the spanker was "old and ugly" when quite clearly he should have been some gorgeous strapping young lad. The slash lives on, ole! (Incidentally, the look of stunned horror on the faces of the male team members was hilarious.)
