Life, oh life...

Taking a quick break from revision before it completely destroys my will to live. Though, only two weeks only two weeks...

• Films seen: Slither - Captain Mal takes on killer alien leeches. Good film with a surprisingly dry sense of humour, and several scenes that can only be described on every possible level as 'EWWWWW!' Also; Confetti - loved it, Martin Freeman as always was adorable, and the wedding planners were fantastic - their approach to getting a successful wedding much the same as Buffy's when getting her pals to go to prom.
  
• Top Gear. Blame my housemate but I wound up watching the first ep tonight. I've never laughed so much in just one half hour. Brilliant, who would have thought it was possible to set a car wash on fire mid-wash.
  
• Franz Ferdinand will be taking a 3 month break after they finish this year's festival run. 1) Woe! I shall miss them. 2) 3 months. 3 MONTHS?! THAT'S IT?!! Dudes, you've been working flat out for the past 2 years, one of you is about to be a Dad, you need more than 3 months, surely. 3) Thank heavens. I feel tired just looking at your gig calendars. Go home, EAT SOMETHING, ALEX, and then come back all fired up with new ideas and write us something new :)
  
• Watching this week's Doctor Who made me realise just how many kinks I've picked up off of LJ. Glasses. Ties. Nice hands and well-toned forearms. The suits. *sigh* Those Watchers have a lot to answer for.

Also, sending a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY and *hugs* to esmerelda_t: may this week be full of blue skies and your bag full of malteasers :)

Oh yes, Supernatural was on tonight. If you were considering not watching it tomorrow night because of revision - do reconsider. *g* You should watch it. Dear god yes. *bites lip hard*

i like hearing about your university trials and tribulations. it makes me nostalgic for years past. don't get me wrong, i am SO GLAD it's over but they were fun times. so no matter how bad it gets, remember to enjoy it too.
PS: was is revision? is it a subject?

hahaha I thought the same exact thing when I found out about the 3 months breakup!!!!

on one hand the fangirl inside me doesn't want them to have a break because she'll miss them.. but the normal person sais 'they need it' and I think that one wins hehe.

but seriously.. I'll miss them.

you think Paul and Ester will be able to get back to the band and everything with a baby? I have my doubts about that...

Top Gear was highly amusing - and the Hamster is adorable *ruffles him* Men, they can be lovely but boy can they be daft sometimes, LOL!

SN was okay, I was slightly dazed from the revision so I don't think I got into it as much as I would have done a few weeks ago. Though I am now very curious about Meg and just what she is and why she's doing what she does *ponders*

Revision is the tiresome process of going back over all your notes and trying to convince yourself you remember any of it, LOL! But revision aside, yep, I'm definitely enjoying parts of uni life, I'll miss it when it's over.

I heard somewhere over at S_T that she's due in August, which considering the band are still touring in August might be interesting. I'm sure they'll want to keep the music going, they both seem to love it so much, but I'm just doubtful they'll find three months enough time to get to know the first member of their family. Anyway, as long as they're happy doing whatever they decide to do :)

And yes, I'm going to miss Franz. Still, absence makes the heart grow fonder I suppose...

exaclty! I don't know where have I heard that Paul was gonna have his time with her and the newborn baby, and that Andy was going to take his place in the band for that time.. I don't think they'd do something like that though! I mean I really like andy, but I dont' think they'd just replace paul.. it seems odd to me. what do you think?

Andy's pretty much been a member of the band for the past few tours, so it won't be anything new for him to continue with drum/guitar duties. My guess is they mean that if Franz wind up doing any band practices or recording during those three months, then Andy will fill in for Paul if Paul can't make it up to join the rest of them (I think Paul moved out of Glasgow not so long ago, though I could be wrong.) But when they get back on the road proper, I don't see them going anywhere without Paul :)

Oh, the dad stuff just ripped my heart out. I couldn't decide who to cry for most - Dean or Sam. The moment when Dean and John hugged, the look on Sam's face... oh, yes, I was a happy fangirl with my Dad angst.

The whole thing was slightly ruined last night when I re-watched with K, who yelled at the screen - "No, don't hug!!! You're men, godammit! Have some self-respect!" He liked it otherwise. *g*

I'm not absolutely certain - it was just mentioned in an article a while back how all of Franz lived in Glasgow, bar Paul who had recently moved.

They've recorded without Paul and Bob before - for example in Eleanor Put Your Boots On. So if it fits the piece, it'll happen, but I don't see Paul dropping out of Franz in any way any time soon :)
